About the role

The Member and Parent Coordinator reports to the Unit Director and is responsible for providing high-quality service to members, parents, volunteers, and the community. Key responsibilities include managing front desk operations, greeting and assisting visitors, communicating with staff, collecting fees, and promoting member enrollment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the front desk including ensuring policies and procedures are followed
  • Cordially greet and assist all members, parents, volunteers, staff, and community members
  • Create a positive and welcoming environment
  • Update membership registrations and information in the Vision Member Tracking system
  • Communicate with staff about pertinent information from member applications
  • Greet members warmly upon arrival and record attendance daily
  • Answer and transfer phone calls, take and deliver messages, and check messages regularly
  • Collect and record all fee payments
  • Promote member enrollment and update the Member database
  • Aid in logging member discipline/incident reports and reconciling cash with Vision reports
  • Provide attendance and other member-related data to administration as requested
  • Communicate regularly with members and parents about upcoming events, programs, and community resources
  • Be a liaison between Club staff/leadership and schools/other Club partners
  • Attend staff meetings as scheduled
  • Contact the Vice President of Operations in case of emergencies
  • Aid in establishing building safety procedures and training staff and members
  • Assist with membership recruitment and Club tours
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities

  • May be assigned special projects by the Unit Director
  • Must participate in the after-school pick-up program if necessary
  • Must assist with outreach for new members

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years’ related experience working with youth/family-oriented agencies
  • Demonstrated ability and interest in working with youth
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office products and database management
  • Must be able to demonstrate the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana programs and philosophy

Skills/Knowledge Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
