Member Liaison-Administrative Assistant

About the role
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Athens, AL. The Member Liaison-Administrative Assistant serves as a primary point of contact for Chamber members, responding to inquiries, and providing information about programs, events, and services.
Responsibilities
- Manage phone calls and email communications
- Maintain member records
- Support event registration and logistics
- Perform general clerical and administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and preparing documents
- Support executive staff with scheduling, meeting preparation, and follow-up
- Ensure a professional and welcoming office environment for members and visitors
Requirements
- Strong administrative assistance and clerical skills to manage office operations, documentation, and recordkeeping efficiently
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact professionally with members, visitors, and internal stakeholders
- Executive administrative assistance capabilities to support leadership with scheduling, meeting coordination, and task follow-up
- Customer service and relationship-building skills to engage effectively with Chamber members and community partners
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, and attention to detail
- Prior experience in an administrative or member services role, especially in a nonprofit, civic, or business association environment, is beneficial
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or training in business, administration, or related fields is preferred
