Member and Guest Services Sales Coordinator

About the role

The Member Services Sales Coordinator is responsible for the promotion and sales of memberships and programs to current and potential members. This role involves developing relationships with prospective members, current members, and community groups to grow membership revenue. The position requires in-depth knowledge of the center and its programs/services, delivering exceptional customer service, and upholding the values and mission of the JCC.

Responsibilities

• Achieve individual and team sales goals through appointment scheduling, selling, relationship building, and outreach/retention.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to create long-lasting relationships in a welcoming environment.
• Engage with members by name and through informal conversations to build rapport.
• Determine the needs of prospective and current members using a consultative sales approach.
• Resolve member issues empathetically (Listen-Empathize-Apologize-Fix).
• Process membership applications, including payments, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Adhere to new member onboarding processes.
• Lead facility tours for prospective members.
• Utilize a lead generation system (e.g., Salesforce) to track prospective members.
• Respond to all inquiries (telephone, email, in-person) within 24 business hours in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM database/Salesforce.
• Coordinate, assist, and participate in member events, promotions, and special projects as required.
• Maintain a high level of self-motivation to achieve personal and team goals.
• Represent the JCC positively and professionally, aligning with our Mission and Vision statements.
• Attend department meetings and trainings as required.
• Act in a leadership role when key staff are absent.
• Assist the Welcome Desk with coverage inside the building and at the Shapiro Rec-Park as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow COVID protocols as outlined by the JCC.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous consultative sales experience in a membership-driven organization.
• Background in hospitality and/or retail environments.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to communicate, connect, and develop relationships.
• Positive, warm, friendly, and flexible attitude.
• Strong knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and internet.
• Experience with CRM databases; Salesforce is a plus.

Physical Skills and Work Environment

• May be exposed to moderate to loud noise levels.
• Regularly required to sit or stand for long periods, use a computer, talk, and hear.
• May require reaching, grabbing, gripping, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• May require lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds.

Pay

$19/hour
