About The Role

As a CBRE Meeting and Events Supervisor, you will be responsible for the supervision of the team responsible for the coordination and day-of execution of meeting set ups, events, furniture and box moves. This job is part of the Workplace Experience function. They are responsible for providing world-class customer service to the clients and visitors of a designated building.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide formal supervision to employees.
  • Monitor the training and development of staff.
  • Cookordinate and manage the team's daily activities.
  • Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
  • Set and track staff deadlines.
  • Act as the secondary on-site event operations supervisor.
  • Oversee operations of events from start to finish according to client requests for seamless delivery.
  • Provide event set up support as needed.
  • Support team as needed.
  • Cookordinate with partners, outside vendors and event professionals.
  • Cookordinate with the different parties to schedule out manpower & draw out layouts for each event.
  • Communicate and oversee any issues that may come about.
  • Ensure event operations are compliant with location safety, security, and other requirements.
  • Identify enhancements for event success.
  • Review and suggest improvements in processes, procedures, and systems to improve team efficiency.
  • Generate reports to measure productivity and perform evaluations.
  • Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
  • May establish new techniques to ensure the team can meet its objectives.
  • Have a direct impact on the team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams.
  • Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE and Host values.
  • Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures.
  • Work to build consensus.

What You’ll Need

  • A High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job-related experience.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to read space plans, move drawings and PDF event layouts.
  • Moving furniture and know basic system furniture installation and deinstall.
  • Knowledge of overseeing and running a Project move (moving crates and relocating furniture).
  • Knowledge on different Microsoft applications and other selective applications.
  • Administrative work is required to all the events, service work and projects.
  • Ability to work on flexibility or multiple shifts.
  • In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.
  • Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Exceptional math skills. Ability to calculate sophisticated figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to interact will all levels of an organization; including C Suite Executives.
  • Experience working with Electronic Work Order Technology.
  • Experience with Bluebeam drawing Technology a plus.
