MedValet Shuttle Wheelchair Driver

About the role

As part of our MedValet team in the Quad Cities market, you will be responsible for ensuring patients compassionate, safe and efficient transfer between healthcare facilities. This role will work variable shifts/hours during the week and alternating weekends. Please be aware that transports are assigned throughout the scheduled shift hours. It is common for drivers to work well-past their scheduled shift end times.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patients during transportation
• Assist the patient in and out of the shuttle vehicle with use of wheelchair
• Comfort patients and families by offering support and encouragement, respecting procedure schedules, and demonstrating care and cultural sensitivity
• Assist facility staff with escorting both the patient and belongings to and from the vehicle
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
• Present and promote a positive company image

Requirements

• Maintain current State of Illinois driver's license

Schedule

Variable shifts/hours during the week and alternating weekends. Transports are assigned throughout scheduled shift hours; it is common to work well past scheduled shift end times.
