Medication Reconciliation Technician

About the role

The Medication Reconciliation Technician provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist. They report to the Director - Pharmacy and are classified as non-exempt under FLSA.

Responsibilities

  • Collects accurate home medications lists for all inpatients.
  • Reports to the Director - Pharmacy.
  • Fills medication carts on a daily basis.
  • Maintains automated dispensing systems.
  • Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
  • Repackages bulk medications.
  • Delivers medication to the proper patient care areas in an accurate and timely manner and within established guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years hospital or retail pharmacy experience - preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must be registered with the State Board of Pharmacy, upon hire or within 90 days of employment in position per state guidelines or be actively enrolled in a College of Pharmacy.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification - Preferred.

Pay

Full-Time/70 hrs wk: 2pm-Midnight shift with 2-day shifts per pay period (8am-6pm).
