About the role
Join a compassionate, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing quality senior housing and services in a Christian environment. The Medication Assistant (MA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications as delegated
- Record vital signs
- Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing)
- Support psycho-social needs
- Help with transfer, repositioning, and mobility exercises
- Assist with meals and nutrition
- Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain cleanliness
- Encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities
- Document care activities and resident responses
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum age 18
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience is preferred
- Must complete annual competency testing and ongoing education
- Maintain required certifications (requirements vary by state, including CNA and medication aide certifications)
