Medication Aide - The Gardens at Laguna Springs

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Med Tech to join our Resident Services Department at The Gardens at Laguna Springs memory care. New Med Tech graduates are welcome to apply! This is a full-time opportunity.

Pay

$21–$22/hour, dependent on experience.

Schedule

Multiple shifts available. Example shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM.

Full-time team members are eligible for all medical benefits listed above. Part-time team members are offered Dental and Accident Medical Benefits only.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral and external medications to residents under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Provide medication administration and treatment assistance according to the health care provider’s orders.
• Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following company and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution and incidents.
• Observe residents for safety and report any changes in resident condition effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner to the licensed nurse on duty.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including but not limited to bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, serving and assisting with meals, feeding, housekeeping, bed making, and laundry.
• Observe and uphold resident rights at all times.
• Assist residents to and from meals.
• Relate to residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a state-certified medication aide/tech course.
• Ability to gain CPR/First-Aid certification as needed in accordance with company policy and applicable state rules and regulations.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position.
