About the role
The Wyoming Retirement Center seeks a qualified individual to fill the position of Medication Aide. This position works under the direction of a licensed nurse(s), assisting in providing health care skills and maintaining infection control procedures.
Responsibilities
- Administers medication when a predictable outcome is expected in residents with common recurring health problems, as outlined in the Wyoming State Board of Nursing Advisory Opinion issued November 2013.
- Performs the functions of a CNA II, as outlined in the Wyoming State Board of Nursing Advisory Opinion issued November 2013.
- Precisely and accurately documents procedures performed and medications given.
Requirements
- Must be in good standing with the Wyoming State Board of Nursing.
- A current CNA license.
- A certificate for Medication Aide (MAC).

Skills
- Knowledge and skills of the CNA II.
- Knowledge and skills of the MA-C.
- Knowledge of basic Nursing Assistant procedures and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of diseases and disabilities of the elderly.
- Knowledge of infection control techniques.
- Maintenance and use of nursing equipment.
- Ability to work on a team with good oral and written communication skills.
- Be observant and communicate subtle changes to the charge nurse.

Pay
$15.00 per hour, with a potential $2,000 hiring bonus for new hires.
Schedule
Variety of shifts available, including working holidays, evenings, nights, and weekends as scheduled.
