Support the sales strategy and enrollment goals for the Medicare Advantage product line within an assigned territory, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and support the development of educational and enrollment opportunities with area agencies on aging, senior resources, associations, faith-based organizations, and other senior advocates in the community.
  • Conduct presentations, marketing activities, and other educational events in accordance with approved communication and marketing programs and state/federal regulations.
  • Assist in community outreach strategies and programs with guidance from internal departments while adhering to all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on CareSource’s Medicare Advantage product line, Medicare, and industry insights.
  • Act as a liaison between the CareSource Health Plan and the community.
  • Communicate accurately to Medicare beneficiaries to ensure understanding of product choices during the enrollment process.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales goals.
  • Build, foster, and maintain strategic relationships to ensure sales success.
  • Execute assigned administrative duties, including updates to and maintenance of reporting and database systems.
  • Meet customer expectations while balancing business requirements.
  • Travel regularly to attend community events, conduct presentations, and participate in sales meetings.
  • Perform other job duties as requested.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED is required; Associate’s Degree in business, healthcare, or related field (or equivalent work experience) is preferred.
  • Medicare or Medicaid sales experience, or other commercial sales insurance experience is required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a sales or account management role in the insurance industry.
  • Current, unrestricted Insurance License in Accident and Health within the state(s) of assigned territory is required (or ability to achieve within 30 days of hire).
  • Current Medicare Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (MFWA) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Employment is conditional pending successful clearance of a driver’s license record check.
  • Annual Influenza vaccination required (October 1 – March 31) as a condition of continued employment.
  • Must reside in the same territory assigned to work in; exceptions may be considered due to business need.
  • Valid driver’s license, car, and insurance are necessary for work-related travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Relationship Management (CRM) systems and Sales Force Automation.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong computer, tablet, and cell phone skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state regulatory requirements and marketing guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Superior presentation and negotiation skills in both small and large group settings.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective listening and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to develop, prioritize, and accomplish goals.
  • Strong time and territory management.
  • Deep and broad understanding of products, services, and solutions.
  • Bilingual preferred.

Pay

$47,400.00 - $76,000.00 annually. Salary is based on a combination of education, training, experience, and the position’s scope and complexity. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.

Schedule

  • Mobile position requiring regular travel to different work locations.
  • May require travel greater than 50% of the time.
  • Flexible hours, including possible evenings and/or weekends to serve member needs.
  • Use of general office equipment (telephone, photocopier, fax machine, personal computer).
