About the Role

Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a part-time, per diem Medical Technologist to join our team on a rotating day shift that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Train and certify clinical staff on POCT (Point-of-Care Testing) devices
  • Maintain quality control, documentation, and compliance with CAP, CLIA, and Joint Commission standards
  • Oversee instrument performance, troubleshooting, and vendor relations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field (required)
  • 2-3 years of clinical laboratory experience; POCT experience preferred
  • ASCP certification or eligibility for certification (e.g., BB, C, CG, CT, H, HTL, MLS, M, MB)
  • Master’s or doctorate in chemistry, biology, immunology, immunohematology, microbiology, allied health, clinical laboratory sciences, or a related field (preferred)
  • Certification as MT (ASCP), MT (HEW), or MT (AMT)
