About the role

Good Samaritan University Hospital, a member of Catholic Health, is a non-profit 537-bed teaching hospital and Level II Trauma Center with almost 900 physicians on staff, caring for over 100,000 patients annually across the south shore of Long Island.

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of clinical tests
• Perform various biochemical, microscopic, blood bank and/or bacteriological tests
• Obtain data for use in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of disease

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school required
• Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist required
• Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and/or microbiology required
• One year internship at an accredited hospital or one year practical experience required
• Must work weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Good oral and written communication skills essential
• Hospital experience desired

Pay

USD $63.66 - USD $69.45 /Hr.
