MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST LEAD

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the laboratory, including scheduling and assigning tasks to laboratory staff
• Perform and supervise a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including but not limited to hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank
• Ensure accuracy and quality control of all laboratory testing and results
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments
• Train and mentor laboratory staff on new procedures and protocols
• Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results
• Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
• Participate in continuing education and stay updated on new technologies and advancements in the field

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
• Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from a recognized accrediting agency
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Medical Technologist
• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and instruments
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems and electronic health records
