Medical Technologist Lead

Job Summary / Essential Functions

• Performs and interprets routine diagnostic assays on blood and body fluids.
• Performs all duties related to the preparation, identification, and testing of specimens.
• Performs all related documentation tasks.
• Provides technical guidance to non-certified staff, new employees, and students.
• Assists supervisor with administrative tasks for the section.
• Performs additional tasks as requested.

Education

• Has education and experience equivalent to the guidelines mandated by CMS in the Clinical Lab Improvement Act CLIA of 1988 and NJSDH requirements.
• Bachelor’s in medical technology or Associates with qualifying bachelor level coursework and certification by a category 1 agency such as ASCP, NCA, AMT, HIS/HEW.

Compensation

The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
