Responsibilities
- Technical responsibilities: Performs all aspects of pre-analytic workflow, verifies orders, specimens, and test systems.
- Collecting, receiving, and processing of specimens: Verifies specimens, prioritizes processing, aliquots specimens, and prepares tests.
- Analytical testing: Maintains test system integrity, performs quality control, and interprets results.
- Post-analytical responsibilities: Verifies and reports results, amends reports, responds to inquiries, and stores documents.
- Universal responsibilities: Ensures quality operations, maintains safety, and provides service excellence.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Allied Health.
- Certification: General MLS or MT (ASCP) Certification or eligible, or Categorical BB, C, H, or M (ASCP) Certification or eligible.
