Medical Technologist- Full Time Days
Description
Medical Technologists conduct diagnostic laboratory tests crucial for detecting, analyzing, and treating various diseases and medical conditions. They use microscopes, chemicals, precision tools, analyzers, and computer equipment to perform tests that provide detailed information about conditions, including the progression and prognosis of patients. Their work involves performing standard laboratory procedures with significant independence and responsibility, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology
- Baccalaureate degree in biological science or chemistry, or a combination of 30 semester hours in biology, chemistry, and/or medical sciences, plus meeting specific certification training/experience requirements for the desired certification
- Master’s or doctoral degree in chemistry, biology, immunology, immunohematology, microbiology, allied health, clinical laboratory sciences, or a related field (preferred)
- Possess or be eligible for Technologist certification (BB, C, CG, CT, H, HTL, MLS, M, MB) by ASCP
- With a Bachelor's degree, hold MT (ASCP) certification or be eligible
- Certified as MT (HEW)
- Certified as MT (AMT)
