Medical Surgical RN (PRN) (Days/Nights)

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a post-operative setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, educating patients on managing their conditions, medication, and post-treatment needs.

Responsibilities

• Promote a healing environment and ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients/families.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement.
• Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate patient conditions and responses to care.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred.
• No prior experience required, but 2+ years of experience is preferred.

Skills

• Ability to work safely and remain alert, with a focus on patient safety.

Schedule

This role may be scheduled during day or night shifts in a PRN capacity, focusing on inpatient pre-op and post-op care. The position requires adherence to professional standards and ongoing development to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
