Medical Supply Account Manager
About the role
Maintains relationships, takes orders from existing customers and secures new customers by calling or visiting prospects in the Urologic landscape. Key responsibilities include securing orders, quoting on customer requirements, following up on customer inquiries, establishing professional relationships with key personnel, submitting activity/call reports, preparing sales forecasts, and meeting productivity and performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Secures orders from existing and potential customers by visiting facilities and accounts specific to the Urologic landscape.
- Quotes on customer requirements and follows up on inquiries and patient needs.
- Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with relevant personnel such as purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, and other key personnel.
- Submits activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and issues related to customer/vendor relationships.
- Performs all assigned duties in the assigned sales territory.
- Prepares lost business and territory sales forecast reports.
- Maintains confidentiality and complies with Numotion’s policies and federal regulations.
- Provides excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations.
- Solves customer concerns and focuses on customer service as the top priority.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in outside Urological or related sales.
- Experience calling on complex rehab centers, spina bifida centers, hospital/hospital systems, and urological specialists/centers.
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations, respond promptly to customer needs, solicit customer feedback, and meet commitments.
- Focuses on solving conflicts, maintains confidentiality, listens attentively, keeps emotions under control, and seeks out new ideas.
- Understands business implications of decisions, displays an orientation towards profitability, adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and deals with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
