Medical Staff Floor Manager, LVT

About the role

The ASPCA Animal Hospital (AAH) is seeking a Medical Staff Floor Manager, LVT to join our dynamic team. This role plays a crucial role in supporting access to compassionate, high-quality veterinary care for pets and their families, especially those facing financial hardships.

Responsibilities

• Supports clients and pets with a focus on delivering a seamless and compassionate experience.
• Ensures high-quality care from check-in through check-out, leading by example on the floor.
• Optimizes daily operations, identifies workflow improvements, and ensures consistent implementation of ASPCA protocols and Fear Free practices.
• Collaborates with leadership across AAH and other ASPCA departments to align team development and operational strategies with organizational goals.
• Maintains adequate staffing levels, assigns responsibilities, and directs workflow to maximize productivity.
• Assists in hiring, training, and onboarding, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Mediates and resolves employee conflicts, manages disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Drives cultural alignment by promoting and modeling the consistent practice of organizational core values and behavioral competencies.
• Fosters continuous development by delivering regular, high-quality feedback and conducting quarterly one-on-one meetings with all direct reports.

Qualifications

• New York State Veterinary Technician License required.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience managing people preferred.
• Experience working in a veterinary setting required.
• At least 1 years’ experience in an operational role required.
• Experience handling and restraining animals required.
