Medical Specialist I-Pulmonology-Pittsburgh, PA

About the role

The Medical Specialist (Sales Representative), Pulmonology (MS) will engage pulmonologists and other key customers within an assigned geography, delivering clinically focused selling messages to create and grow revenue while consistently meeting product goals. The role requires strong, compliant sales performance that exceeds forecasts, adhering to all Regeneron policies and US promotion regulations for pharmaceutical and biologic products. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA, and the representative must reside within or close to the territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategy and implement tactics within key accounts in the pulmonary therapeutic area to generate product utilization.
• Establish and foster strong relationships with pulmonary health‑care professionals, including physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, office staff, and key patient advocacy support groups.
• Collaborate with regional colleagues and other field‑based and home‑office teams to proactively address customer needs.
• Analyze market dynamics and trends to develop strategies that support brand and corporate objectives.
• Participate in initiatives that support sales success, such as industry‑related congresses, local and regional meetings, and medical conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including at least 2 years selling in the respiratory market or a similar subcutaneous self‑injectable biologic specialty market.
• Demonstrated advanced clinically‑based selling skills and a results‑oriented mindset with a proven track record of success in product launches.
• Experience in‑servicing and training office staff, nurses, and office managers; ability to partner and collaborate with internal field teams and alliance partners.
• Ability to travel and cover large geographic territories.
