Medical Simulation Coordinator

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current credential in a health profession that involves direct patient care is required.
  • If the applicant is expected to teach in his or her health profession field of practice, then he or she must possess appropriate degree from an accredited institution mandated by the particular program's requirements.
  • Two (2) years teaching experience at community college level, preferably in health care education required.
  • Experience in simulation technology/education preferred.
  • Experience in working with different types of medical equipment (ECG monitors, ventilators, etc.) and proficiency with PC and relevant software applications (Word, Excel, & Power Point) required.
  • Experience with simulation technology, Mac computers, audio & visual equipment and inventory experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of critical care.
  • Knowledge of various medications.
  • Knowledge of supplies and equipment needed to perform simulations.
  • Knowledge of instruction techniques and methods.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to update medications into Pyxis machine.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to properly set up simulations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects.
  • Office environment. Occasional physical effort required.

Requirements

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Supplemental Functions

  • Perform all duties to maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures and Core Values.

License and Certifications

  • Current Texas license or certification as required for the health occupation field of practice: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Compensation

Salary
Hiring Minimum: $56,880.00
Hiring Maximum: $71,100.00
