About the role
Our Medline Acute Care sales team serves as the main interface for various segments in the hospital such as OR, Cath Lab, ICU, Labor and Delivery, Emergency Department, Materials Management, and C-suite. We engage with clinical and industry leaders to deliver a robust product portfolio and patient-care solutions, optimizing care with quality hospital supplies and customized solutions.
Responsibilities
- Call on hospitals within an assigned territory to sell products, including exam gloves, durable medical equipment, incontinence products, OR kits, plastics, skin care products, textiles, bathing systems, gauze, packs and gowns, protective apparel, surgical trays, advanced wound care, surgeons’ gloves, and other hospital supplies.
- Make sales presentations to multiple decision-makers to drive product and program sales.
- Establish and nurture client relationships by developing strong connections with key decision-makers.
- Present and sell new products while maintaining existing business.
- Collaborate with peers to ensure teamwork across the continuum of care.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and ability to “close the deal.”
- Prepare bids and price quotes.
- Occasional cold calling to develop new markets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of quota-based sales experience with a background in cold calling, commissioned, full-cycle sales or at least 5 years of quota-based sales experience with a background in cold calling, commissioned, full-cycle sales.
- Track record of demonstrable sales growth and quota attainment.
- Ability to present multiple product lines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Computer proficiency, especially in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to drive a car, travel in that car 90% of each day, and interact with healthcare providers on site.
Pay
This position includes a minimum of $125,000 in guaranteed earnings for the first year, with commission ranging between 0-4% of net sales. The role is also bonus eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
