Medical Records Specialist

This role supports both medical records and billing processes for our Chronic Care Management (CCM) and healthcare programs. You’ll work closely with our care team to help ensure patient records are accurate, complete, organized, and ready to support billing and reimbursement. What You’ll Do Maintain accurate and organized electronic patient medical recordsReview documentation for completeness and accuracyIdentify missing or inconsistent information and work with team members to resolve itReview patient records for billing readiness and required supporting documentationAssist with tracking outstanding documentation and billing-related itemsMaintain and update patient demographic and insurance informationProcess medical record requests according to established proceduresWork with Care Team Coordinators, providers, and other team members to resolve documentation or billing discrepanciesAssist with internal documentation and quality auditsMaintain HIPAA compliance and protect confidential patient informationMaintain accurate records of completed work and assigned tasks What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is organized, accurate, comfortable working independently, and able to manage detailed information and deadlines. Preferred qualifications include: Experience in medical records, medical billing, healthcare administration, or a related healthcare settingKnowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation practicesFamiliarity with EHR/EMR or other healthcare documentation systemsUnderstanding of HIPAA and patient confidentialityStrong attention to detail and ability to identify missing or inconsistent informationStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlinesComfortable working with computers and electronic documentation systems Position Details Position: Medical Records / Billing Specialist Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour Employment: Full-Time, Hourly Reports To: Clinical Operations Manager Environment: Remote Why Pro Care Innovations?
