About the role
If you're organized, detail-oriented, and love keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, we're looking for a Medical Records Specialist to join our team. If you're passionate about accuracy, teamwork, and helping provide exceptional care to our residents, we'd love to meet you!
Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize resident medical records
- Ensure charts are accurate, complete, and compliant with state and federal regulations
- Enter and update resident information in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Communicate with physicians, hospitals, families, and staff regarding medical record requests
- Protect resident confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
- Prepare records for admissions, discharges, audits, and surveys
- Work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent resident care
Requirements
- Previous medical records or healthcare office experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations is a plus
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Friendly, professional attitude with outstanding communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
