Medical Records Specialist

About the role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Medical Records Assistant who takes pride in organization, accuracy, and helping healthcare teams deliver exceptional care. You'll play an important role in keeping patient care running smoothly and become part of a mission-driven team dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our entire community.
You'll work alongside an incredible team that includes primary care providers, dental professionals, behavioral health specialists, pharmacists, social workers, family support teams, and clinical & administrative professionals. Together, we provide compassionate, integrated care for patients of all ages—regardless of their ability to pay.
Responsibilities
- Processing medical record requests accurately and securely
- Maintaining patient records within our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Responding to requests from providers, hospitals, insurance companies, and authorized third parties
- Retrieving archived medical records when needed
- Supporting quality improvement initiatives
- Assisting patient outreach efforts
- Collaborating with providers and clinical staff to ensure excellent patient care
- Maintaining medical records supplies and office equipment
- Helping wherever needed to support the success of the team
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills
- Outstanding communication and customer service abilities
Qualifications
Bonus points if you have:
- Previous healthcare or medical office experience
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Pay
$21.50–$25.25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
