About the role

This is an entry-level, onsite position and an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start their career with a fast-growing company. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is paid after 180 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all incoming Release of Information (ROI) requests in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining 100% ROI accuracy.
  • Complete all STAT requests within one hour and maintain a 24-hour turnaround time for all other ROI requests.
  • Keep all work queues current.
  • Validate requests and authorize the release of Protected Health Information (PHI) according to established procedures.
  • Perform quality checks on all work to ensure accuracy of release, confidentiality, and proper invoicing.
  • Maintain confidentiality, security, and ethical standards for medical records during transport, storage, and disposal.
  • Complete legal affidavits and answer related questions as needed.
  • Regularly scan ROI requests into charts.
  • Abide by ROI policies specific to both HealthMark and the client.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional personal appearance in accordance with the client’s dress code.
  • Keep a clean and orderly work area, ensuring records and files are properly stored and supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Maintain and update the facility guide as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by being attentive, respectful, and proactive in identifying and de-escalating patient complaints.
  • Follow through on commitments and communicate effectively with customers to achieve maximum satisfaction.
  • Assist clients, patients, and requestors with the status of medical records requests via phone.

This role requires regular access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and/or confidential client data. The incumbent must report any known or suspected unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of PHI immediately to the Privacy Officer or Information Security team.
