Summary/Objective
The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining patient medical records in compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves preparing charts, sorting, scanning, and filing medical documents into electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and fulfilling various medical record requests.Essential Functions
- Prepare charts for upcoming appointments.
- Sort, scan, and file all paper medical documents into appropriate EMR categories.
- Document and fulfill patient medical record copy requests.
- Fulfill medical records requests from insurance companies and attorneys.
- Obtain progress notes, test results, hospital records, and other correspondence as requested by providers.
- Answer incoming phone calls for the medical records department.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Practice Manager, Site Supervisor, or Team Lead.

This is a full-time position, with an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday. No weekends are required.Travel
