Medical Records Clerk

Responsibilities

• Perform routine clerical tasks
• Scan and/or file all documents, records, and correspondence properly
• Retrieve medical charts
• Scan and/or file medical records into patient's electronic health record
• Sort and distribute mail

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• 1 year of clerical experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
• Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt to environments where conditions may not be pristine
• Ability to manage and maintain composure in stressful situations
