Medical Records Clerk

About the role

This full-time Medical Records Clerk position at our Tampa facility ensures timely and organized fulfillment of medical records requests from referring providers, patients, law offices, and insurance companies. The role also provides backup support to the Front Office and Scheduling teams as staffing permits.

Responsibilities

• Complete medical records requests via email, fax, and mail per medical records release within a timely fashion.
• Document payment for records requests received from law offices.
• Provide backup support to the Scheduling team and Front Office team as needed, including:
  • Greeting patients and answering phones.
  • Scheduling patient appointments and entering patient information into the scheduling database.
  • Confirming patient appointments and collecting necessary on-site paperwork.
• Collect and distribute mail within the clinic.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Certificate from College or Technical School preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience distributing medical records to the general public and other practicing providers.
