Medical Receptionist

About the role

The Receptionist receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors so that all callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately. The Receptionist performs basic administrative, clerical, operational, customer support, and computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments. You will report onsite to the Clinic Administrator at the Conviva Legacy Place Care Center located at 18414 US Hwy 281 N, Suite 104, San Antonio, TX 78259.

This role is considered patient-facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Responsibilities

• Receive and route incoming and outgoing telephone calls accurately and courteously
• Accommodate visitors promptly and professionally
• Perform basic administrative, clerical, operational, customer support, and computational tasks

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year or more of experience working in a healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a strong customer service background in retail, hospitality, call centers, etc.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

Qualifications

• Value-based care model experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
• Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records) (preferred)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

Pay

The starting base pay range for this full-time (40 hours per week) position is $38,000 - $45,800 per year. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location, and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.
