Medical Practice Patient Representative - Orthopedics - Vassar Brothers Medical Center - Monday- Friday- 8:00am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
• Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
• Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, and assures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system.
• Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols.
• Maintains applications and manages worklists as applicable.
• Collections co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
• Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
• Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Maintains and Models the Organization values.
• Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred.
• Data Entry, Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal).
• Minimum Experience: Six months.
