Job purpose
Perform dosimetry analysis on patients, including supervising secure transfer of images, tomographic reconstruction of images, defining contours, interacting with physicians and customers to verify contours, quantifying organ or tumor activities, and performing organ or tumor dosimetry as called for in contracts. Transmit data to clients as required by the contracts. Develop tasks, best practices, and procedures for repetitive tasks.
Duties and responsibilities
- Interact with clients and promptly respond to inquiries, concerns, and/or requests.
- Communicate and coordinate with colleagues as necessary.
- Develop dosimetry and imaging manuals.
- Write reports for consulting contracts, including information about the methods and results, including tables and graphics.
- Perform quality control of dosimetry calculations and reports written by others, checking calculations, text, figures, etc.
- Participate in research grants.
- Publish papers and abstracts on dosimetry methods and results.
- Participate in the development of algorithms for Rapid’s software products.
Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant field, including medical physics, medical dosimetry, or radiopharmaceutical therapy dosimetry.
- Knowledge of and experience in quantitative nuclear medicine imaging or radiopharmaceutical therapy dosimetry.
- Knowledge of ISO 14155, ISO 13485, and 21 CFR Part 820 is a plus.
- Experience in clinical research and clinical trials is highly desirable.
- Good computer skills.
- Experience with Linux, Python, and 3D imaging software packages (such as 3D Slicer) is a plus.
