Medical Oncology Veterinary Technician Assistant

About the role

MedVet is a fast-growing Emergency and Specialty veterinary provider with practices nationwide. We help patients receive advanced medical treatments and innovations such as chemotherapy, radiation, cardiac ablations, treatments for glaucoma, physical rehabilitation, dermatology, and more. We are seeking a collaborative and driven Medical Oncology Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our clinical team, embodying our core values of Teamwork, Leadership, and Compassion.

Schedule

Proposed schedules: Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM or Tuesday–Friday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive quality care.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
• Assist Veterinary Technicians with patient restraint.
• Manage the restocking of supplies for clinical teams.
• Maintain clean treatment areas and manage laundry needs of the department.
• Develop excellent venipuncture skills and high attention to detail.
• Gain experience in chemotherapy treatments.

Requirements

• Prior veterinary experience desired.
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
