About the role
Community-based general adult Hematology/Oncology practice (benign hematology, solid tumors, blood cancers).
Responsibilities
- Outpatient schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Facilities: 9 shared exam rooms; infusion and radiation on-site; embedded palliative care
- Volume: 14–16 patients per day
- Shared call-coverage model including inpatient consults and rounding (hospitalists admit)
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Licenses: Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon or Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine upon hire
- Courses and Training:
- Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine or Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine upon hire
- Completion of an Internal Medicine residency upon hire
- Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology upon hire
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Teaching skills
Team
- Fully staffed: 2.5 Medical Oncologists, 1 PRN Medical Oncologist, 3.0 APPs
- Supported by navigation, social work, dietary, research, and genetic counseling (hybrid model)
