Medical Oncologist
About the role
Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, through its growing Division of Hematology/Oncology and Penn State Cancer Institute, invites applications for a faculty position on either tenure or non-tenure track at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level in the division with focus on solid tumor oncology – especially GI, thoracic or melanoma/cutaneous malignancies and sarcoma. The candidate is expected to demonstrate strong expertise and track record in clinical care, translational and clinical investigations in the above selected areas of oncology diseases. Successful candidates will have a commitment to building an academic research-centric program within the Cancer Institute.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care in solid tumor oncology with focus on GI, thoracic, melanoma/cutaneous malignancies, or sarcoma
- Conduct translational and clinical investigations in the selected areas of oncology diseases
- Build an academic research-centric program within the Penn State Cancer Institute
Requirements
- Medical Degree – M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
- Completion of an accredited residency and hematology/oncology fellowship program
- Eligible for licensure for the practice of medicine in the State of Pennsylvania
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology
- Clinical research background
