Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Laboratory Scientist - Night Shift

Role Overview: This position involves performing complex laboratory testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and serving as a knowledgeable resource within the department. It includes responsibilities such as specimen collection, processing, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintaining accuracy of test results. Key Responsibilities Conduct accurate and timely testing according to established policies and standards, including startup and calibration of equipment.Monitor and validate patient and quality control results, participating in quality assurance and process improvement activities.Manage inventory, assist with financial performance enhancements, and contribute to departmental projects.Train and mentor staff, participate in meetings, and provide educational support to internal and external stakeholders.Collect and prepare biological specimens, ensuring proper identification and specimen integrity. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/technology or in chemical/biological sciences, or equivalent experience per CLIA regulations.Certification (MLS or categorical) preferred; foreign candidates must provide credential evaluations.Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and laboratory procedures.Strong knowledge of specimen requirements, medical terminology, and computer systems used in testing.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
