Responsibilities

• Responsible for pre‑analytical, analytical, and post‑analytical phases of testing.
• Follows standard operating procedures and ensures laboratory safety, quality and regulatory requirements are met.
• Serves as a laboratory resource to other health care personnel and collaborates with other departments across the enterprise.
• Demonstrates critical and independent judgment in decision‑making and problem‑solving.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Medical Laboratory Scientist

• Bachelor's degree in laboratory or biological sciences required.
• Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through an approved HHS agency (e.g., ASCP) or be registry eligible.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) also acceptable.
• Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment.
• If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice.
• Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to state requirements as needed for license and certifications.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Medical Laboratory Technician

• Associate's degree in Laboratory Science required.
• Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) through an approved HHS agency (e.g., ASCP) or be registry eligible.
• Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment.
• If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed or have a provisional license by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice.
• Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to state requirements as needed for license and certifications.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Pay

Salary range: $22.50 - $44.00 (Medical Laboratory Scientist $27.50 - $44.00; Medical Laboratory Technician $22.50 - $34.50). Eligible for new hire sign‑on bonus.

Schedule

Shift: Varies. Job Schedule: Full time. Weekly Hours: 35.00.
