About the role
The Medical Technologist / Bachelors of Science performs laboratory procedures in a timely and accurate manner according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures. This position performs functional duties in the Pre-Analytic, Analytic, and Post-Analytic phases in the Laboratory Path of Workflow. May be required to share responsibility to delegate work assignments for self and co-workers in the absence of supervisor or lead.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory procedures in a timely and accurate manner according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform functional duties in the Pre-Analytic, Analytic, and Post-Analytic phases in the Laboratory Path of Workflow.
- Delegate work assignments for self and co-workers in the absence of supervisor or lead.
- Comply with CLIA standards for high complexity and moderate complexity testing personnel.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of a Medical Technology program accredited by CAHEA, or Bachelor’s of Science degree in a laboratory related science and equivalent training, education, and experience.
- Experience: One year of full-time clinical laboratory experience required.

- Working knowledge of general types of laboratory equipment (centrifuge, microscope, etc.)
- Keyboard, LIS, calculators, fax, auto analyzers
- Basic computer skills
