MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST -FULL TIME

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical testing in all areas of the general laboratory for diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Perform quality control.
• Analyze results and correlate to standard values.
• Evaluate procedural changes under supervisory direction.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
• Perform phlebotomy and clerical duties, as well as train students.

Qualifications

• Medical Laboratory Technician - Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
• Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist - Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
• Must be qualified as high complexity testing personnel under CLIA regulations
• Possess at least one year of clinical experience working in the Laboratory
• Preferred: Current Medical Laboratory Science certification with American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent nationally recognized certifying organization
