About the role
This is a full-time, on-site position where you will apply your troubleshooting skills to medical devices and ensure our products are functioning accurately. You will report to UAB Hospital and support Baxter’s mission to save and sustain lives by maintaining critical medical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service to patients and clients.
- Pick up and deliver medical equipment in a hospital environment.
- Walk for long periods of time throughout the day.
- Push and pull beds (up to 75 lbs).
- Follow hospital standards and protocols while demonstrating excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Participate in team activities and problem-solving sessions.
- Communicate problems and/or solutions to the appropriate person.
- Report faulty equipment or unusual conditions to the hiring manager.
- Follow processes and procedures as written.
- Document and/or chart data to aid in problem identification, quality feedback, and production scheduling.
- Train, teach, and assist other operators to ensure a quality product and smooth workflow.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment while being self-motivated.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Baxter is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time).
Pay
This position has a base hourly range of $15.38 - $21.15. The actual salary may vary based on relevant skills, experience, time in role, business line, and geographic/office location.
