Medical Imaging Field Engineer- Lansing, MI

Responsibilities

• Service Imaging Equipment in the Northern Michigan area.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthcare systems at customer sites with minimal supervision.
• Deliver timely and effective repairs, and train operators to ensure optimal system performance, leading to superior customer satisfaction.
• Manage financial performance within your territory, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expense control, and inventory management.
• Ensure tool and test equipment expiration dates are managed, and document tool and test usage on eFSR.
• Manage company assets, including a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, inventory parts, etc.
• Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, and perform necessary administrative duties accurately.
• Mentor other Customer Service Engineers on all competencies and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma; technical Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient in using tools and service test equipment, capable of working individually and in teams.
• Proficient in necessary network applications and tools (e.g., eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
• Able to locate, read, and understand documents for install, set-up, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, block diagrams, and functional descriptions.
• 5+ years' experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.
• Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.

• Lifting 50lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
• Must demonstrate excellent judgment in customer relations and resource management; strong competency in instrument systems technology, including mechanics, electrical, chemistry, and software technology; experience with electronics, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Pay

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is $70,930 - $97,526. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Schedule

Shift: M-F 8:00-5:00 pm
