Medical Imaging Field Engineer 3 - Detroit, MI
About the role
Serve medical imaging, angiography, and/or cathlab equipment in the Detroit area. Field-based, customer-facing role installing, servicing, maintaining, and modifying Siemens’ imaging equipment. Flexible schedule, including willingness to work different shifts and on-call rotations.
Responsibilities
- Service medical imaging, angiography, and/or cathlab equipment in the Detroit area.
- Install, service, maintain, and modify Siemens’ imaging equipment at customer sites.
- Support diagnostics modalities initially, with potential to cross-train into other modalities in the future.
- Work different shifts and on-call rotations as business needs dictate.
- Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers.
- Perform necessary administrative duties timely and accurately.
- Use service tools and service test equipment.
- Use PC skills (MS Windows & Microsoft Office 365).
- Locate, read, and understand documents for install, set-up, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, block diagrams, and functional descriptions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or technical Associates Degree, with minimum 5+ years' experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer).
- Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment.
- Ability and experience to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers.
- Proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
- Proficiency in all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
- Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.

- Physical Requirements: Lifting 50 lbs regularly, walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.

Pay
The Base Pay Range For This Position Is $67,550 - $92,884. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Schedule
Shift Requirements after onboarding/training for this role: 1st Shift (M-F | 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.).
