About the role
This position is a Medical Imaging Field Engineer II role based in the Greenville/Spartanburg, SC area. You will service XP & AT Equipment, performing technical tasks to accomplish defined service delivery for customer equipment. Customer Service Engineer level will be determined based on prior experience.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthcare Medical Solution instrumentation at customer sites with minimal supervision.
- Deliver timely and effective repairs as well as adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance and superior customer satisfaction.
- Manage financial performance within your territory, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expense control, and inventory management.
- Manage company assets, including a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, and inventory parts.
- Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, and perform necessary administrative duties accurately.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma; technical Associate Degree or equivalent preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.
- Proficiency in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in a team setting.
- Proficiency in all necessary network applications and tools (e.g., eVO, mButler, MS Office, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
- Valid driver’s license, ability to drive independently day and night, and a good driving record.
- Demonstrated experience with electronics, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong competency in instrument systems technology, including mechanics, electrical, chemistry, and software technology.
Skills
- Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- General understanding of the principles of electricity, power supplies, and grounding.
- Excellent judgment in customer relations and managing company resources.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting 50 lbs (floor to above waist/head).
- Walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting, squatting, standing, and high-reach work.
- Fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $55,330 - $76,076. Factors affecting starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Schedule
After onboarding/training, the shift for this role is Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
Position must have full access to Siemens Healthineers' client sites to perform the essential functions. Many clients require Siemens Healthineers employees to meet certain Vendor Credentialing requirements, which may include but are not limited to: proof of valid identification, criminal background checks, drug screens, immunizations, annual TB testing, and healthcare training.
