About the Role
NextCare Urgent Care is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Medical Front Office Receptionist who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. We prioritize both patients and employees, and we’re looking for customer-friendly, passionate individuals to join our growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing wait-time updates and monitoring patient flow.
- Process patients for discharge, including preparing charges, collecting payments, obtaining signatures, and issuing receipts.
- Obtain personal and insurance data from patients and input information into the EMR system.
- Place patients into rooms as needed and monitor patient flow.
- Complete insurance forms for registration to ensure proper reimbursement from payors.
- Prepare daily deposits, reconciliation, and statistical reports.
- Maintain front office supplies and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Answer telephones with quality customer service skills.
- Keep patient waiting areas and restrooms clean to reflect a positive image of NextCare.
- Manage patient appointments scheduled via the NextCare website.
- Notify back office immediately of any urgent medical concerns.
- Educate patients on NextCare services for current or future visits.
- Promptly notify the Clinic Manager of any patient or employee safety concerns.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or described by Company policy.

Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- A Medical Administrative Assistant Certificate or equivalent is highly desired.
