Medical Emergency Team RN - Sepsis

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a MET Registered Nurse for our Sepsis Program.

About the role

The Medical Emergency Team (MET) Nurse is responsible for responding to calls and critical situations or concerns on all adult non-critical care units. This role utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to delegate, coordinate, and provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to patients and families.

This individual makes independent judgments and decisions, taking action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient issues while operating under the guidelines of the Adult Rapid Response/Code Blue Protocols.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls and critical situations on adult non-critical care units.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate and coordinate safe, therapeutic nursing care for patients and families.
• Make independent judgments and decisions regarding patient issues.
• Operate under Adult Rapid Response/Code Blue Protocols.
