RN Program Coordinator Sepsis

About the Role

As our RN Program Coordinator-Sepsis, you will assume overall responsibility for developing, coordinating, and maintaining the Sepsis Program, ensuring comprehensive and effective patient care. You will drive program strategy, clinical protocols, and interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance early identification, treatment, and outcomes for sepsis patients throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination of the Sepsis Program, Sepsis CET Team, and associated support staff to achieve and maintain desired quality and cost outcome goals.
• Write, review, and revise program policies, procedures, protocols, and practice standards.
• Provide education and training on new treatment options as they become available, in collaboration with the Sepsis Physician Champion.
• Offer consultative services to support assessment, nursing diagnoses, outcome identification, planning, implementation (including care coordination, health teaching, and health promotion/consultation), monitoring, and evaluation of sepsis patients, in accordance with the American Nurses Association Scope and Standards of Practice.
• Participate in performance improvement activities in collaboration with medical, ancillary, and nursing staff, including making recommendations on performance improvement initiatives.
• Establish procedures to ensure consistency and quality of services provided by the Sepsis Program as part of clinical excellence, utilization review, and risk management programs.
• Ensure compliance with required CMS Core Measure standards and documentation for all sepsis team members.
• Develop protocols, procedures, and order sets with physicians and present before high-profile bodies such as the Community Board.
• Serve as the representative to regulatory and accrediting bodies, ensuring all standards are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.
• Three (3) years of relevant healthcare experience.
• Current RN License; valid state nursing license or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in nursing and data management.
• Experience with ER, ICU, or acute care.
• Certified Emergency or Critical Care Registered Nurse.

Holy Cross Hospital Mountain Point is a 40-bed full-service hospital serving the residents of northern Utah County. Located in Lehi, Mountain Point is easily accessible from I-15 and SR-92 just east of Thanksgiving Point. The hospital is a leader in advanced surgical technologies and is a Level III trauma center and stroke receiving facility.

Schedule

Day shift, Monday-Friday. This position will be shared between two locations: Holy Cross Salt Lake Hospital and Mountain Point.

Pay

$35.17 - $56.10 per hour.
