About the role
Hammocks Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Director to lead our growing veterinary team in Miami, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Lead and uphold medical quality standards and patient care protocols
- Mentor associate veterinarians and support staff
- Partner with hospital leadership on recruiting, training, and team development
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing culture
- Help guide clinical protocols, workflows, and hospital growth initiatives
- Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical practice
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Florida veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication, mentorship, and team-building skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Passion for medical excellence, coaching, and hospital growth
