Medical Director - Physician - MD/DO - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

About the role

The Medical Director will lead the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation program at SSM Health Medical Group Mount Vernon. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical operations and quality improvement initiatives
• Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines
• Collaborate with other medical directors to ensure alignment across specialties
• Provide consultation and mentorship to staff physicians
• Participate in medical staff meetings and committees
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience
• Experience leading healthcare organizations or departments
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
