About the role
Medical Charge Poster (coder) position requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience. The role involves interpreting diagnostic and procedural phrases used by healthcare providers into coded form using coding manuals or software. You will gain exposure to multiple PM/EMR systems including eCW, Kareo, Care Cloud, Meditouch, Intergy, and others, across various specialties in a professionally rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
- Exercise independent judgment and take action on coding decisions
- Interpret diagnostic and procedural phrases used by healthcare providers into coded form by locating codes utilizing coding manuals or software
- Develop and maintain business relationships with physician offices
- Apply in-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Medical Charge Poster (coder)
- Proficiency with ICD-10 and coding guidelines
- In-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- CPC certification preferred
