Medical Assistant Supervisor

Role: The Medical Assistant Supervisor oversees all Medical Assistant staff, manages scheduling, hiring, performance evaluations, and staff development. They act as a liaison between management and staff, providing first-level patient care counseling, ensuring confidentiality, and maintaining a positive team environment. Responsibilities: Supervises staff, conducts performance reviews, implements disciplinary actions, facilitates onboarding and training, maintains policy knowledge, and ensures compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA standards. They plan team meetings, monitor staff performance, and ensure accurate electronic medical records. Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, hold current certifications, with 3+ years of MA experience and ideally 1+ year in a supervisory role. Strong computer skills, EMR experience preferred, with BLS certification. Bilingual skills and IV Certification are a plus. Skills: Leadership, communication, organization, adherence to safety and privacy standards, and proficiency with clinic systems. Work Conditions: Standing, reaching, handling, occasional walking, sitting, lifting up to 25+ pounds, and working in a clinical environment.
